My name is Sydney Brazier, the owner and wildlife artist behind the scenes of Brazier Taxidermy Northwest.

Since as early as I could walk, I was an avid outdoorswoman. My family at a young age not only taught me so much about hunting and fishing, but also about the beauty of these animals and the importance to honor them with respect. To me, taxidermy is a beautiful way we are able to honor these animals and to also preserve a special memory that goes with every mount.

Where the journey began…

Now growing up I had much more experience in big game hunting and the big game side of taxidermy. My father and I would go on a few different hunting trips every year in hopes for deer, elk, bear etc. and if we were lucky enough to be able to harvest a trophy worth mounting, we were pretty spoiled considering my mother was a full time big game taxidermist herself! At a young age I had a lot of fun helping her with projects in the business. She taught me the importance of knowing the anatomy and mannerisms of the animals we harvest and using that to better our skills.

Now the last few years I have had a growing passion for waterfowl and upland hunting. It is such a different ball game from what I have been used to and getting to experience the dynamics of birds in the field is incredible. This made me realize that bird taxidermy is something I not only could excel in but that I would love!

2025 is the year I made my dream become a reality, I spent some time with a wonderful taxidermist in January who taught me the basics of bird taxidermy. I then spent the rest of the year and counting, putting in long hours of repetition to better my skills and provide the best quality work to every piece that I work on.
